Willie’s Story

Success...
Willie was hiding in a barn in the Ranchos some nice people started feeding him when they couldn't get him to come to them.  Their first impression was that he was a feral.  After almost three weeks of being unable to get close to him, they contacted Kane Humane Project.

Shortly thereafter, he was humanely trapped and brought to a foster home.  It didn't take long for Willie to warm up to his new environment and climb up onto his foster's lap for some attention.  Feral? Definitely not!
He loves attention and giving head bumps.  He growls when he hears dogs so evidently doesn't care for them too much.

It took Willie a while to learn how to play with toys, but now shows much interest in them.  His favorite thing is belly rubs.
Willie, quite shy when he arrived at KHP, became very attached and affectionate to his foster mom.  To him, it was paradise and he had no intention of leaving.  He wormed his way into his foster mom's heart in the hope that she just couldn't give him up.  And he did a good job of it! Willie now lives with Smoke E. Bear and Jane and loves his new forever home, good for you Willie!
