Red’s Story

Success...
Red was first seen as a stray in La Estancia on April 7th, 2010 and the person that caught him four days later called Kane Humane.
We checked with Animal Control and no one had reported him missing.
A Red Heeler Mix about 32 weeks old, 40 pounds, and cautious, he is very sweet once he knows you're "okay".  It only took about 10 minutes for him to warm up to me and take treats and then let me pet him.
When Red first came to Kane Humane he wasn't sure what "toys" were, but it didn't take him long to learn the game of FETCH.  It's now his favorite thing to do and he doesn't get tired of it very easily!

Red, now named "UTAH" has been adopted and is living with his new family in Grass Valley, California.
He spent two weeks with his new Dad and Mom and their two children (ages 6 & 8) and decided he liked being a California Dog!
The two boys spoil him as much as they can and are making sure he gets lots of exercise!  He has already become quite a pro at playing Frisbee!

Good luck Red! We at Kane Humane hope you enjoy your new loving home!
