Jake’s Story

Success...
After being with his foster parents for over a year, Jake is now a permanent part of their family.
Jake suffers from separation anxiety and has an aggression issue with certain other dogs.  This made placement into a permanent home difficult.
"We knew when Jake arrived at our home as a foster for Kane Humane Project that he would probably end up staying with us forever" says his new adopted parents.  "He is such a sweet boy but has a few 'issues' probably because of his past.  Jake has learned a lot over the past year and although the separation anxiety has lessened, the aggression hasn't.  But he knows the rules of the house and accepts them willingly.  The majority of the time he gets along well with his new brothers and sisters.  It's only when they get excited that he can turn “aggressive."
Jake has grown to be a happy, loving dog and loves his permanent home. We had a feeling that this would eventually become another failed foster situation and Jake would end up being adopted by his foster people.
Did we forget to mention that his new forever home is with Mary & Jim, the founders of Kane Humane Project?  Just goes to show that none of us are exempt from falling in love with the ones we take care of!
Best to you, Jake.  You're a very lucky boy.
